Well, it's been a cracking year. From just about finishing our albums for our launch back in March, through various band personnel changes, illnesses, marriages, divorces, car crashes, wild full band gigs (The Claremont), quiet intimate acoustic gigs (Vic's Buskers) and utterly bizarre gigs (Burlesque Gorefest, Bristol) - we would like to say a big THANK YOU to all you who have supported us in 2008. We really hope we'll see more of you in 2009 while we go from strength to strength.
Dear all, due to the success of the 'acoustic' Julia K set (I know, it's still loud!), yep, you guessed it, we're doing more of them.
Amd to add to the wonderful new backing vocalist we've acquired (Hi Lucy!), Andy has also apparently acquired a 'hybrid guitar'. What on earth is this I hear you cry? Well... it's apparently an electric that's had an acoustic pickup inserted into its nether regions, so it picks up like an acoustic when plugged in... strange and mysterious, yes? Well - that's what you get when you come to a Julia K gig... :S
Just a quick reminder that we're at the Propaganda bar in Fleet on Sunday 27th, as a little scaled down acoustic set up - this involves just me, Andy, some guitars and our new ready, willing and very able Lucy on dep bvs (cor I dunno, these backing vocalists that go off and get married and go on honeymoons and things, so selfish!)
So - come along, whoop, cheer, sing along and keep the beat for us! (or bassline, if you're a proper smart *ss muso :) )
